This has happened since various parties have violated the health protocols set by the local government. Especially what has just been done by the Head of the Jember Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Branch Management, KH Abdullah Syamsul Arifin or commonly known as Gus Aab.
A number of points in Indonesia have implemented the PPKM program which requires all activities that cause crowds and crowds to be temporarily closed. However, Gus Aab instead held his round wedding reception during an emergency. The COVID-19 Task Force immediately went to the field to impose sanctions on Gus Aab.

Brisa added that his party would conduct an examination of a number of witnesses at the scene. This will involve both parents concerned and local residents.
Since the PPKM program was underway, the local police could not take appropriate steps to invite the accused. This is because various points in Jember had to be blocked. In the end they chose the virtual path to conduct the trial.
“We were forced to get a trial through the online channel at the Jember Civil Service Police Station. The trial will begin with the examination of a number of witnesses from both parties, the COVID-19 Task Force and the defendant to Taufik Hidayat who is in charge of the wedding reception,” said Brisa.
Sentenced Penalty of IDR 10 Million

“Seeing the clear explanation, we have also decided that Gus Aab committed a wrongful offence. So it will have a bad impact on the parties concerned and the general public,” continued Brisa.
Regent of Jember Hands down
On the other hand, the Regent of Jember, Hendy Siswanto, intervened to see the situation which had worsened the situation. He regretted that the case was actually carried out by a respected person in Jember.
Hendy explained that the COVID-19 Task Force would suppress anyone who dared to go against health protocols. Whoever it is, it will not be indiscriminate. It is feared that this case could have an impact on online soccer gambling dealers. Because all this time the gambling den is looking for loopholes to operate openly.
“Obviously the marriage was against the rules. On July 29, we have also deployed officers. And on July 30, the case went to trial,” said Hendy at a press conference, Friday (30/07/2021).
“This event can be detrimental to a number of parties. Since some time ago, cases of COVID-19 began to increase. And we will also be more assertive for those who violate health protocols,” he concluded.
